10-2 Goofing Around!
Step 1: Download the App
I used the app, Stop Motion App, suggested by Tammy.
Step 2: Experiment with the App
I began my process by experimenting with the app using the ghosting technique (where you can see the old image over the new one). I took selfies of my face making different expressions.
Step 3: Decide what to do!
After experimenting, I wanted to create a stop-motion animation using things I had around my house. I decided to use the objects I have collected over the years to create a "Parade of my Favorite Things". I used a backdrop of fabric I made in undergrad that has my favorite wildflowers from Massachusetts on them.
Step 4: Set up the scene
I used my chair as a set for my stop motion because it would be easy to place hang the back drop. I used a pillow to hold the fabric up. I used a book to set the stage for the scene and laid another piece of fabric over it. I then used my hand to move the objects across the stage. I used a book and my glasses case to hold the phone while I took pictures. Not the most secure situation, but it worked for me.
Step 5: Take out photos with my hands in them!
See the delete button in the bottom right corner.
Step 6: Upload!
I then exported my video to Google Drive so that I could access it on my computer.
I decided to make an animated gif because my animation was on the shorter side. I used https://ezgif.com/video-to-gif
